The Israeli Corrosion Forum was established in 1992, and was accepted as the Israeli branch of the international society NACE. NACE was originally the National Association of Corrosion Engineers, an American association that now has more than 15,000 members worldwide.
Within a short time, the Forum became the national center for corrosion, and its success comes from combining the entire range of technical forces: academics - professors and researchers, industry - engineers and technicians, consultants and designers.
Since 1993 and apart from its regular activities, the Forum has held a biannual conference that is attended by known experts from abroad. The 12th Israeli Conference on Corrosion will be held In November 2016.
The aim of the Forum is to minimize the hazardous consequences of corrosion and to reduce the enormous financial losses it causes to Israel's economy and to public and private entities.
